Army Körperfett Rechner

The Army body fat calculator uses the US Army's circumference-based method to estimate body fat percentage. This method is used for Army Physical Fitness Testing (APFT) compliance.

For men, body fat % is estimated using height, neck circumference, and waist circumference. For women, height, neck, waist, and hip circumferences are used.

This is the official method used to determine if a soldier exceeds the weight-for-height table and needs a body fat assessment under AR 600-9.

Army Body Fat Formula

For men: %BF = 86.010 × log10(waist − neck) − 70.041 × log10(height) + 36.76.

For women: %BF = 163.205 × log10(waist + hip − neck) − 97.684 × log10(height) − 78.387. All measurements are in inches.

Army Body Fat Standards

Maximum body fat standards for men: 20% (17–20), 22% (21–27), 24% (28–39), 26% (40+).

Maximum body fat standards for women: 30% (17–20), 32% (21–27), 34% (28–39), 36% (40+). Soldiers exceeding these limits enter the Army Weight Control Program (AWCP).

The Army uses circumference-based measurement with a measuring tape. Men are measured at neck and waist; women at neck, waist, and hips.
